March 24th – Kaiser Spring Festival

The irresistible smells of Poi Malasadas, tonkatsu, shrimp scampi, pizza, popcorn, and much more was in the air as a much larger than expected crowd enjoyed a wonderfully successful Kaiser Spring Festival on Friday, March 24th! Sponsored by the Kaiser PTSA, the Festival featured bands from Kaiser and Niu Valley Schools, food trucks, a silent auction, a dunk booth, face painting, inflatables, games, and much more.

Nine Lions assisted in various capacities including setting up and dismantling of tables and chairs for game booths and over 60 chairs for band performances; stringing lights among the trees; and manning the information, prize, and popcorn booths.

Lions participating in this event included Cynthia Chun, Joni Fukuji, Alvin Hayashibara, Yolisa Ishibashi, David Iwana, Walter Kuroiwa, Erick Kvick, Frances Lum, Ken Nishibun.

Kaiser PTSA President Kimura was truly appreciative to the Hawaii Kai Lions for providing manpower and support for this fun and festive event.
