April 1st – Hahaione Elementary School – Family Fun Fair

The first post pandemic Hahaione School Family Fun Fair on Saturday, April 1, 2023, was a very successful fun-filled day that raised important funding for the school. From 11am to 5pm, food booths and trucks, inflatable rides, crafts, games, a book fair, and free entertainment awaited all who came for this event.

Six Hawaii Kai Lions were assigned to the large book fair in the library where rows and rows of books and trinkets were available for sale. Acting as monitors, Lions provided crowd control, security, and assistance in finding specific titles.

Lions participating in this event included David Iwana, CIS Iris Iwana, Walter Kuroiwa, Ken Nishibun, Allen Umeda, and Kerry Yoon.
