April 5th – Kamiloiki Elementary School’s Sight is Beautiful Award Ceremony

On April 5, 2024, two Hawaii Kai Lions participated in Kamiloiki Elementary School’s Sight is Beautiful Award Ceremony, which was held in conjunction with their Jump 4 Heart Assembly.

Twenty Long’s Drugs gift cards were given as awards to students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 (except for Grade 1, whose classes did not submit any posters), for placing within the top four within their grade. The awards were $20 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd place, $10 for 3rd place, and $5 for 4th place. Kamiloiki Elementary also won $50 worth of Long’s Drugs gift cards by submitting the most posters between the three local elementary schools. Lions participating in this event included Lions Yolisa Ishibashi and Ken Nishibun.
