January 30th – Card Making for Pediatric Cancer Patients

In November 2023, Lion Virginia McMahon, Chair of the Pediatric Program at the Kapiolani Medical Center (KMC), inquired if our Club could make Valentine’s Day cards for the 32 current pediatric cancer patients at KMC.  Lion Marja agreed to organize the card making, announced it to the Club, and on January 25, 2024 met with new members Veronica Ong, and Arlene Ling to make 15 cards.  CIS Lyn Yee joined us and provided 20 cards she had made on her own.  On January 26, 2024 Marja met with Virginia and gave her the 35 cards which she will be delivering to KMC for distribution to the patients on Valentine’s Day.
