October 13th – Hearing Screening – Hahaione Elementary School

The Hawaii Kai Lions Jeanne Alices, Ellsworth Fujii, Lisa Ishibashi, Eric Kimura, Marja Leivo, Frances Lum, Ken Nishibun were joined by KH Lions Gavin Hall, Stacy Sakumoto, and Shasta Yamada, Kamehemeha Lion Lyle Apo, Kapahulu-Moiliili Lion Lyn Liu, and Waikiki 2000 Lions PDG Shannon Ching and CIS June Ching to perform hearing screening at Hahaione Elementary school at 8am.We started with a short OAE training session by PDG Shannon Ching. Lions were assigned Otoscope, Recorder, OAE testers, Audio, Tra>c Controller, Registration and Form Collection responsibilities and everyone did an awesome job at what they were doing.? Tra>c @owed very smoothly, background noise and distraction were kept to aminimum by our tra>c controllers.? The hearing screening of 153 students was completed in about 1 1/2 hours including a wait of 15 minutes for their recess. There were no major problems even after a 2 year hiatus and several new hearing screening volunteers.
