May 12th – Kamiloiki Elementary School May Day Parking Assistance
On May 12, 2023, six Lions and 3 CISs assisted Kamiloiki Elementary School by directing cars
onto Kamiloiki Community Park’s field behind the school for their May Day Program. At 7:00
a.m., the group met with Principal Jason Yoshimoto for parking instructions and therafter guided
over 100 cars into the parking area. After 8:30, volunteers were welcomed to partake in
refreshments in the library, as well as stay and watch the excellent May Day Program.
Lions who participated include Ellsworth Fujii, Yolisa Ishibashi, CIS Anthony Nakamura, David
Iwana, CIS Iris Iwana, Bill Kern, Eric Kimura, Ken Nishibun, and CIS Lyn Yee.
In support of our community’s elementary schools, the Hawaii Kai Lions consistently volunteer
to assist in any way possible. Thank you to those Lions and CISs who volunteered for this event.
It would not have been possible without the nine of you there so early in the morning.
