September 24th – School Supply Donations/Shredding
Three hours were spent at Koko Marina Center, Sep 24, collecting school supplies and monetary donations, that goes to Helping Hands to provide children in need w/ school necessities. Up to two boxes of documents for shredding were also collected.
Thanks to 102.7 Da Bomb radio station for providing a tent along w/ DJ Steezy for entertaining the crowd.
Those participating were Jeanne Alices, Cynthia Chun, Ells Fujii, Sandy Gomes, Marja Leivo, Nancy Rocheleau, Allen Umeda, CIS Lyn Yee and daughter Jonalyn.
Ells Fujii gets the “Lion of the Week” award for attending 4 projects in 4 days for designating a day w/ a group making signs for the Food Bank, sorting bottles and cans at Koko Head ES, getting donations and canned goods for the Hunger Drive, which he is chair, at the state capitol and Koko Marina’s school supply donations. He’s one busy fella!
